Here at Chris Mimmack Photography Ltd we like to interact with our customers so we have recently created both a Blog where announcements are made and clients have the chance to comment, and also a separate Forum page for more lively discussions an anything to do with wedding, portrait, industrial and commercial photography.
We hope that satisfied customers will use the Forum to give us a personal recommendation, as we believe this is the best form of advertising, and also reassuring for potential clients.
The Forum also enables you to ask us any photography related technical questions you might have on wedding, portrait, industrial and commercial photography. Or anything else for that matter.
As it says on out home page -
One thread of the Forum was specially created for brides to share stories of what went right, and more importantly what went wrong at their weddings. With the best will in the world, you can organise the perfect day, and an unforeseen glitch can spoil things. We would like to encourage our brides to use this opportunity to share their experiences. It is also our plan to keep adding posts about some of the wedding related problems we have encountered in over 500 weddings we have covered.
Chris Mimmack -
Chris was born in Gainsborough, moved at an early age to Brigg, then on to Barton-
Chris started as a photographic technician at British Steel, and by the time he left in 2008 he had been running the works photographic department for 5 years. During this time Chris has had just about everything in front of his lens, from inanimate pieces of steel to Royalty, and has travelled the length and breadth of the country on various assignments. He has done aerial photography from both a helicopter and fixed wing aircraft -
The work at British Steel was interesting and varied and included construction progress photography, macrophotography, photomicrography, press and PR work, health & safety, legal & accident coverage, record and documentary photograph, the production of training material using computer graphics, advertising and commercial work, numerous assignments in the underground ore mines. In short, anything and everything that came along. Not to mention hours spent in the darkrooms hand processing films and prints.
To add to this, Chris started his own spare time photography business in 1980, covering mainly weddings and family portraits.
Finally in 2008 a major restructuring and cost saving exercise took place and the photographic department at Corus was closed, Chris took redundancy and the full time business of Chris Mimmack Photography Ltd was born.
Chris is also a qualified member of The Master Photographers Association and has won a number of awards for his photography.
So as you can see, there is a wealth of experience and expertise, just waiting for your call.
Occasionally Chris actually has some spare time, which he spends reading, working in the garden, listening to music and working on his model railway. And once he was even a morris dancer’s hobby horse -
